This Project

KFM Geotech supported the redevelopment of the Bronte Surf Life Saving Club. The engagement covered piling platform design and assessment, piling inspection, footing assessment, temporary retaining structure design, cut and batter inspection and assessment, compaction testing, and Level 1 earthwork supervision.

Design & Platforms

Piling Platform Design & Assessment

Design of the working platform for the piling rig, followed by on-site assessment before the rig was set up.

Temporary Retaining Structure Design

Design of the temporary retaining structure supporting the excavation on a constrained coastal site.

Piling Inspection

Inspection and recording of pile installation and the conditions encountered at founding level.
04

Footing Assessment

Inspection and acceptance of footing excavations against the founding conditions assumed in design.

Cut & Batter Inspection

Inspection and assessment of cut faces and batters to confirm stability before crews worked below them.

Compaction Testing

Field density testing of placed fill to confirm the specified compaction was achieved.

Level 1 Earthwork Supervision

Level 1 supervision of earthworks in accordance with AS 3798, covering inspection, testing and reporting through the filling operation.
Results

Project Outcomes

Temporary works were designed and then verified by the same team on site, with earthworks placed under Level 1 supervision and documented as the works proceeded.
